So lately I have noticed a complete and utter disregard for biology. Too many of my sons clothes have octopi that are liars. If you are going to represent an animal that has, like most animals, a designated and naturally intended appendage count then do so. Octopi have eight arms, not five, not seven, not ten, I mean really ten?!

So back into some detail inking. My wife mentioned a Moose for a subject and I really did not know where to go with it. With all the bull regarding land rights and human rights and the complete and utter disregard for potential environmental impact I thought this little worse case scenario depressingly fitting. So this has been taking up space for far too long in one of my watercolor blocks, time to call it done.So I'm slowly getting back into trying to do some arting. Sketching has been a constant but nothing of substance. These are two little doodles that were aight. Quick little doodles. The Kingfisher on the bottom was done over lunch one day and that little wolf/skull was an episode of Rick and Morty. The process and progress of work fascinates me and I feel like I should highlight this more often. So here are a few snapshots of my progress on the Peaks Resort piece.I started doing a few these a little while back. Sort of an attempt to make an illustrated bug collection, whith the intent of floating these in deep set frame. Some bugs, insects, and arachnids are the focus. All drawn on 4" x4" watercolor swuares incase I felt like adding color. This was a large, but paid, underakign into landscape and architectural illustration. There was a significant learnign curve to estimating time involved in a piece this size, 11" x 24", at least onn this scale. It was fun and I was quite happy with the final, as was the client, but I need to build sme time into my estimated costing in the future.
Well so it has been a while since I have thrown anything up here. Too easy just to snap a horrible phone pic and throw it up on Instagram( @GRIFFCL ) and grad school takes its share of time. So here are some drawings, doodles, progress pics, and what nots that have oozed from my hand in the past few months.
So a lot of drawings these days revolve around waiting on teammates on a project to finish their part and so I start doodling. I picked up some India Ink today, Just experimenting a little with the ink and some water.
While waiting on some telecommunications I sketched this little dude out. He will be getting some paint in the very near future.

Chad GriffithNothing fancy here. Just a drawing and doodling fool. A little bit of everything and anything. Willing to doodle for cash, beer, or pizza. Archives
