So I was re-watching 12 Angry Men to write up some grad school mumbo jumbo in regards to organizational issues and figured I would use the time productivity to sketch out a little somthin somthin. So I present the initial stages of an arctic scene complete with a Narwhal pod
So apparently I am on a little cicada kick. Was feeling sketchy and had some inspiration for a little 15 minute doodle.
so this was a little sketch I laid out Friday night and finished up Saturday morning and wound up painting with coffee. Need some stronger stuff to get some depth though.
So I wanted to do a little inking on some canvas, just to see how the pen acts across the heavy texture. It is interesting, kind of frustrating at times, but helps give everything an organic shape. It is almost impossible to get clean straight lines.
Sorry, I've been too bust to take the couple of seconds to post some pics. Well that means a little flood of some imagery. First up I've got some shots of a watercolor that has been in development. From loose pencil lines to early painting.
So after revisiting the Holiday card and the elk skull, I decided to sketch another skull. Well at least the top half tonight.
So, some fellow art enthusiasts and I got together and did a Holiday/Christmas Card exchange. I may have spent a little too much time, but then again maybe not. I love how it turned out, and now I am going to draw some more bones tonight I think.
